Hi there,
So a quick update - the book is all done now, waiting for a final proof run.
We had Phil King write our foreword for this one - he was editor of ZZAP! 64 in 1992 for a number of issues. I am hoping Gary will be available for Volume 2 - Issue 49 onwards!!
I am planning for the book to go to print this week and it is now 132 pages in length due to the extended diaries of Andrew Braybrook. It should then take about 6 weeks to come back from the printers.
Seeing all Oli's art page after page is very, very special.
Cheers, Chris

unedited from his original text sent to Newsfield back in the day, and formatted by our Ben. Coming in at 31 pages, I think the phrase is "We need a bigger boat!"
Here are the first 9 pages as a sneek preview...
The pagination of the book is going to be a little bigger than I first thought, as I feel all these pages should be in the Legacy book for all to see and read.
Book is coming along nicely -the aim now is to get it to print by the end of the month if we can with it coming back back sometime in October.
Regards, Chris

Hi there,
Thanks for supporting this campaign. We have all the text by Ian Osborne and images from Gary Arnott, so the book is currently in production.
The funds have now arrived - I am currently putting the Backerkit survey together - this will go out hopefully in the next few days. I hope to offer some more signed framed prints as part of the survey - so watch out for that.
Once the 48 issue are formated in the book, I will send a few more example pages. Time to talk to Andrew Braybrook about those diaries, and give Gary a nudge for the foreword!
Thanks again, Chris

Hi there,
A few have asked how to get a second copy of the ZZAP! Legacy book. I have created a new tier called "The BOOK x 2" - this tier will give you £10 off at £50 (each book is normally £30) plus an Enamel badge.
If you would like this tier - click "Manage Your Pledge" and select the "The BOOK x 2" tier and confirm.
Cheers, Chris
Thank you! A stretch goal, and a couple of other campaigns...

Hi there,
A great start to the campaign - thank you so much!!
I was thinking for say a £25K stretch goal, I give everyone an A5 magazine just full of the cover art of issue 1-48, and any other Oli pieces I currently have that were used in the magazine. So this would be a freebie, and just something you can flick through to see all the glorius ZZAP! 64 art - how does this sound?
There are a few other campaigns that I am really interested in at the moment:
Urbx Warriors
First there is Urbx Warriors, a brand new game for the Spectrum Next - developed by Tony Warriner (Beneath a Steel Sky, Broken Sword) and Stoo Cambridge (Sensible Software).
Take a look at the campaign here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tonywarriner/urbx-warriors-an-original-game-for-the-spectrum-next
The camaign has a demo for the Next and a demo that can be run on your PC. It really is worth a download and a pledge.
Heart of Neon
There is a Kickstarter campaign running currently for a film on Llamasoft - the face of the company being Jeff Minter.
We had the pleasure of Jeff and Giles at our recent ZZAP! event last month and their story in the gaming industry is truly an inspirational one. There are some amazing perks on this one.
Check out the campaign here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dokk/the-heart-of-neon-blu-ray
Magic Knight 40th Anniversary Collection
"Almost a year in the making, for the first time - David Jones’s four ZX Spectrum games are now available in original cassette form in one amazing box!"
Only 3 days left on this one - please check the Kickstarter here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pixeljockey/magic-knight-40th-anniversary-collection
